Being a drummer and Rush obssessee in the 80's, and after seeing them on their last tour, I totally agree with your impossible assessment of Geddy vs. Neil.
George,
It was nice to hear you talking about running your Yasso 800's on this week's show. As a marathon runner, I'm well aware of this magic formula to gauge your fitness and determine how fast you can run a marathon, and I'm glad to hear you're back on the wagon running them.
FYI, the inventor of the Yasso 800's isn't, in fact, a doctor, but a runner named Bart Yasso who works for Runner's World magazine and who developed this workout empirically (http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-238-244-255-624-0,00.html). While not a trained scientist, perhaps he deserves the title for his relatively scientific development of this workout!
Thanks for the great episode!
Come on, people. My random somewhat socially inappropriate comment shouldn't be the only comment for this episode...
George,
On the topic of "Imagine," one has to wonder why the first verse didn't give them trouble. After all:
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No Hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
...
It's kind of strange that they would want to say "Imagine one religion" and leave THAT part intact.
Oh, right. I'm using logic. My mistake.
Another double drumming band - Adam & the Ants.
What do you think of the drumming of Stephen Morris of Joy Division/New Order?
George,
You have given some of the best shaving advice I have ever heard.
Note: It also applies to women.
