While 'Incense & Peppermint' is an excellent track, IMHO 'You Set the Scene' by Love is the best US 1960s song. My overall favourite 60s track is 'The Real Thing' by Russell Morris.
On Women's suffrage, women in Australia not only gained the right to vote on Federation in 1901, they also gained the right to stand for Parliament! Unfortunately, it wasn't until 1962 that our indigenous population were given the same rights.
