Your observation about the partial triplet in “Pretty Noose” made me think of another song that does a similar thing. Listen to “Sweet Dreams” by Yes at 2:01 and 2:09. To me, it sounds like 4 sets of eight note triplets followed by 2/3 of a quarter note triplet.
