Though I thought WTF at the temerity of someone writing it, I\'m going to raise my hand in agreement with the sentiment in the WTF letter. Like Blarg, I never did care for ThatWoman and though I was happy you were happy, you had lost your edge and were borderline... gaggy. Except for the painful part, I\'m glad you\'re back to normal.

We had an interesting conversation on Evoat11 regarding your little confession. Should be out after the weekend.

Hey, I don\'t even get real reCaptcha words! Mine/farnol. What\'s a farnol?

Before you decide to leave the www off a website, you should try it before you share it. There are plenty of sites that have different pages at www.site and site and www2.site and ww27.site etc. Don\\\\\\\'t assume anything on the internets.

Some people apparently were lead to believe that there was a comic video about two girls having a discussion about a ceramic dish. They made assumptions based on a web address and boy, were they surprised.

Oh George... the clothing advice was so awesome. I think that segment should be mandatory listening for all males everywhere (and some ladies too). All people need to do is put a little bit of effort in, maybe sacrifice a bit of comfort as you said, and find clothes that fit well.

On a slightly different note... nothing wrong with wanting to fuck a couple every once in a while! I don\\\'t even believe you have to question your sexuality or Kinsey rating or what have you over it. There are exceptions to every rule, I say!

First time listener (got here somewhat slow and distractedly by way of SGU). I listened to the first half last night while puttering in the kitchen and finished up this morning on a walk. Somehow, before starting my walk, I had accidently bumped the button on my iPhone to play back the podcast at 2x speed. For some reason, it sounded completely normal to me. It was the \\\"ask george\\\" segment and onwards, and the frenetic, hyperactive pace just seemed to fit the mood somehow. Try it, I think you\\\'ll agree.

Oh my.
For the sake of all that is survivable in the world, pleas never do the Popeye impression again.
First. It\\\'s hilarious, and I could bust a seam laughing at it.
Second, It\\\'s hilarious, and in a situation where I cannot laugh out loud (Like at work) I look like an idiot trying not to laugh hard enough to bust a seam.
And finally third, Picturing you with no shirt on and anchor tattoos on your arms is so amazingly funny, it may actually cause ruptures to my internal organ when paired with the sound of you doing that impression.

I also don\\\'t get what people see in Lou Reed. Especially Laurie Anderson, who\\\'s stuff I like.

On the other hand, the other day I was in a dinky little Toronto sushi restaurant (five tables), and the whole time we were there they played Tom Waits, which was just cool.

Whether or not you like them or not, putting Dream Theater in a category even remotely close to the Jonas Brother is downright mean!

That’s like cruelty to music.

You should write a letter of apology (or at least pray an apology).

Great show, Geo, as usual.

BTW, I’d love to hear your thoughs of Dream Theater’s cover of King Crimson’s \\\"Larks Tongues In Aspic Pt.2\\\" from their latest album \\\"Black Clouds and Silver Linings\\\".

Cheers!

I love Dream Theater... when James LaBrie isn\\\'t singing. When he\\\'s singing, it\\\'s crap (IMO). With that being said, the KC cover is great. As is the 3rd disc from the release that\\\'s the album without vocals. :)

With that being said, I do love them, but I totally see Geo\\\'s statement of he gets why people like them, but just doesn\\\'t. There was a time when they were the bee\\\'s knees for me, and now they\\\'re more like the anteater\\\'s left ear. Or some lesser animal body part when compared to bee\\\'s knees.

Back to DT... I\\\'d rather go with Kevin Moore (former keyboardist) and his Chroma Key or OSI bands.

I hate to cast a dissenting vote on the cheesy letter, but I agree with every word of it. With every sentence, I found myself nodding in agreement, happy that somebody put into words what I felt at the time.

Perhaps I would have seen the situation differently if I liked S*!#&^%rgirl, but I\'ve never appreciated her work, and I\'ve never understood her appeal. Kind of like Lou Reed.

Hello! You guys were super sweet and awesome and I\\\'m glad we were able to come.

Cheesy letter... romantic does NOT equal weenie. I echo the WTF???

Ditto the thanks on the clothing advice! Tim just started listening to your podcast, maybe I can take him shopping now... mwah haha...

Get some sleep, mister, although sleep-deprived Geo is extra hilarious.

Hats off to George for still managing to put out a hilarious show even when delirious and sleep-deprived.

I\'d just like to point out the fact that our primate relatives, the Bonobos, have always been down with the hot male on male, female on female action. Their horniness knows no bounds. Quite frankly, it seems a Bonobo will fuck any orifice that crosses its path regardless of what sex its owner happens to be.
There\'s your animal kingdom lesson for the day, kids.

I\\\'m sure that if I made my living by being in front of people, I\\\'d appreciate dressing stylishly a bit more. But considering there are days I don\\\'t ever leave my house, and interact with clients and vendors through email, IM and Twitter, spending the money on a brand new wardrobe seems wasteful.

My discomfort from wearing my only suit is two-fold, so to speak. First, wearing multiple layers feels very constricting. For a long time I didn\\\'t want to wear undershirts because my mom kept buying ones with sleeves.

Second, it\\\'s the heat. I sweat like a freak, and have been known to shovel snow in jeans and a t shirt. Just the thought of wearing more than one layer (two if you count my sleeveless undershirt) in the middle of summer is enough to dampen my brow.

Johnny Cash! Good one. I can sort of see the cowboy rebel prison thing... SORT of. But a great example...

Another one of those hugs at the 26.42min mark.

Thanks for the \'Regrettably\' compilation; that will save me having to figure out which mp3s to send to a friend who has a 16 hour trip to Africa this month. :)

Thank you for the clothing advice. Maybe some guys will listen to you. It\\\'s the biggest turn off for me when a guy shows up dressed like a slob when I\\\'ve spent an hour getting ready.

Not just the suit thing but even casual clothes wear stuff that fits, isn\\\'t wrinkled, and is clean. It makes a big difference.

Picked up the poddiscs... it\\\'ll be good to lend around...

This episode had me cracking up more than usual.

Have you heard of Lou Reed\\\'s \\\"Metal Machine Music\\\"? It is a double album of only guitar feedback. Definitely a WTF album. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Machine_Music
Lou Reed is married to Laurie Anderson, so that\\\'s pretty cool.

posty mcposterton

Oh, on the whole \\\"What does THAT mean?\\\"... I\\\'ve been there, but I\\\'m probably a 2 on the Kinsey scale. If it happens rare for you, you may be a 1 on the Kinsey scale (0=100% hetero to 6=100% homo).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsey_scale

Men: 11.6% of white males aged 20-35 were given a rating of 3 for this period of their lives.

# Women: 7% of single females aged 20-35 and 4% of previously married females aged 20-35 were given a rating of 3 for this period of their lives. 2 to 6% of females, aged 20-35, were given a rating of 5 and 1 to 3% of unmarried females aged 20-35 were rated as 6.

Listening to the Lou Reed rant reminded me of something.

What is the Johnny Cash thing? Was there something interesting there I was missing? Some melodic quality outside the range of my hearing?

I\\\'m not a musicphile or anything, so I\\\'m willing to accept it is ignorance on my part. Really, I\\\'d want to know that too.

Someone, please explain Johnny Cash to me.

Also, something I\'d like to mention about the comfort of wearing a nice suit: It\'s been my experience that the reason nice suits are uncomfortable is because so many men don\'t get them fitted properly. If you can find a good clothier who knows his or her stuff and can really fit you well, a suit can be quite comfortable.

Regarding \\\"all one word\\\", I sometimes find it necessary to use this in order to clarify that certain web addresses do not contain dashes or underscores. Depending on the situation, www is also necessary in order to access the appropriate page of a certain site. For example, where I work, if I go to www.examplecompanyname.com, I will see the company web site. On the other hand, if I leave out the www and just go to examplecompanyname.com, I will see the PRTG Traffic Grapher and nothing even remotely related to the company web site. Being in IT, I would use this information, but for another employee, maybe in the accounting department, this is all Greek to them.

Enough of my nitpicking, I understand that almost none of this would actually apply to you, so cheers...

Cheesy letter guy - WTF? Even if I agreed with you, which I don\\\'t, W-T-F?

I\\\'m really torn on the whole clothing thing. While I appreciate a sense of style (I have none), there is a part of me that says it\\\'s all bullshit. Am I a better person with nice clothes? Hardly. Am I better at my job in a tie, versus jeans and my fantastic Interrobang baseball shirt? Unlikely.

On the other hand, I do respect design and asthetics. As personal asthetic or utilizing oneself as a contemplation of artistic expression, I think that dress can be really valid.

I know people respond differently depending on my clothing. Is that reasonable? Probabaly not, but it is true.

Regarding the real book: 5th edition rocks. 6th edition sucks dead bunnies through a straw.

Straight No Chaser in Bb!? Dude, it\\\'s in F on the album.

Just Friends is missing? WTF?

Stick with the illegal version. ;) Mine is falling apart after 25+ years. But Man oh man, what a great reference.

Nice show! Kind of intense.

I don\'t know what THAT was about, but I do know I\'ve met people over the years who, thanks to having a certain hard-to-define something, just seemed to violate -- no, let\'s say transcend -- certain boundaries I normally take for granted. So you\'re not alone, though I couldn\'t say why.

reCaptcha says \"textiles problems.\" Apparently it hates my khakis and button-down shirt. ;P

Oh, Geo, you are SO entertaining when you haven\\\'t slept! And thanks for the shout-out for my little podcast; I hope y\\\'all enjoy it.

Peeps, listen to what the man says about clothes. I saw it in action in Vegas, and HE KNOWS what he\\\'s talking about, for both men AND women.

I would say that if certain -- inclinations -- become akin to Kevin Smith\\\'s confessions on his blog - http://is.gd/1J0Sp - then you will certainly run the risk of never having your mother listen to your show ever again. Depends if you consider that worth it. :/
