I got a bunch of similar comments to Eduardo's in e-mail form. Listen to show 175 for my take, on your take.

Thanks-

Geo

You were asked to judge the music not their fashion sense. If there was a dress code, it is up to the club owner to decide not you. They had no intention of disrespecting you. Probably they thought the way they dressed was not relevant and you are superficial to even consider this. Next time, to be fair, please just close your eyes and listen. I am a fan but this rant was bothersome and annoying to me.

George, You sir have outdone yourself! I'm halfway between Saskatoon and Regina and I had to pull over just to give you props Esp 174 had me looking like a fool, LOLing in my truck all alone. The Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra reference fucking killed me!

I think this week's Interesting Fauna also qualifies as an Indestructible Bastard.

The Birthday candle bit, (which, as I was listening to it made me laugh so hard I had to pull my car over), reminded me of an indecent that I remember from third grade. The teacher was explaining condensation and was having us go "hhhhaa" on the windows to fog them up. There was a girl who was, apparently, unable to go "hhhaa" and fog up her window pane. She sounded very much like Geo in that sketch.

The hanging pants thing still bugs the crap out of me, Jason. It's never (for me, at least) been a "harumph, that's so inappropriate" thing. It's just...so...silly. So nonsensical. Yes, yes, I know, so are many other fashion conventions. But this one just POUNDS my "That Thing Over There Is Very Silly" buttons.

It's like wearing a dead bird on your head.

Oh, look!

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with CarrieP on this one and have to go with "slightly curmudgeon-esque". But, then again, I think you already know you and I differ on this topic.

To be totally honest, before I "knew" you, if I was judging a singing competition ('cos that would ever happen) and some guy stepped on stage wearing a suit and tie, I probably would have had the same gut reaction you had to the t-shirt and shorts guy. Except it would have been along the lines of "*snicker, snort* okay... what's this guy trying to prove?"

It just comes down to people will wear what they want to wear, I guess, and the rest of us should just let them. I don't even let kids with their pants hanging halfway off their body bother me anymore, and that used to bug the ever living crap out of me.

I will second CarrieP on the happiness about the skit!

Wow! That was a shifted episode, indeed.
